Position Description:

FIS is looking for an energetic individual to join us in building our next generation of web apps based on Angular 2+ and NodeJS; someone who will strive to meet the needs of our growing business. This individual will play a key role in analysis, design, development and implementation of Payment applications. This individual will work within an Agile team that works closely with other internal/external departments to ensure that the solution is meeting the needs of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Work within an Agile team
    • To drive the design, development and implementation of technology solutions
    • Understand requirements, elicit feedback and refine solution through demonstrations
  • Participate in the entire SDLC and interface with Product Managers, clients, other IT partner and vendors in delivering solutions and troubleshooting technical issues during integration, migration of software components
  • Ensure designs are compliant with FIS Policies

Required Technical Skills:

  • Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Professional, internship or academic experience in an Object Oriented Programming language such as Java, C++, C# or VB.NET
  • Professional, internship or academic experience in front end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • If experience is in another Object Oriented Programming language, must be willing to learn Java Programming

Preferred Core Development Skills:

  • Experience in the following technologies is preferred:
    • Full stack web development: JavaScript, Angular (we prefer Angular 2.0+), HTML5, NodeJS, REST, JSON, CSS
    • Familiarity with development aiding tools (such as webpack, npm, yarn, etc.)
    • Java Programming
    • Soap and XML
    • Spring Framework
    • Unix

Other Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in using automated unit testing methods; preferably for Angular 2.0+ applications
  • Experience working with graphic designers and converting designs to visual elements
  • Experience in building reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Experience in optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability
  • Experience in building applications that interact with APIs
  • Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms (i.e., mobile, tablet, desktop) and optimizing output to match the specific platform
  • Experience in Secure Coding to prevent XSS, CSRF and other vulnerabilities
  • Experience with relational or nonrelational databases (such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Elastic)
  • Comfortable using Git for source code control
  • Experience with Agile Development methodologies
  • Familiarity with the Atlassian tool suite (JIRA and Confluence) preferred but not required
  • A DevOps mentality that understands using tools like Bamboo or Jenkins for Continuous Integration
  • Experience in payments or high transactional systems preferred but not required
  • Additional experience in working with remote team members a plus
